MY ADVERTISING COURSE WORK PART 1

Looking at my advert the models (Roger Federer, Tiger Wood and Thierry Henry) are all standing with in a sophiscated way because the use of props e.g. smart cloths such as suits, ties. There facial expression is evil to show that the product is dangerous and because the men’s best at what they do. The location of this advert is on the top of the earth to show that they are better than everyone else. The product that they are holding makes the models look powerful and make the buyer believe they are just like them. The costume that the models used was a blacked out which looks very wealthy and smart. The props used were a razor and the colour used was orange and blue to match the name of the product ‘Gillette Fusion’. The ‘Gillette’ brand came up with a slogan ‘the best a man can get’ which is obviously targeted for men because in the poster adverts they feature three male celebrities. The font used are 20th century extra bold and the angle shots used in this advertisement are long shots and close shots. The font is easy to read and helps the audience to clearly see and read the message ‘the beat a man can get’.
Gillette’s target audience are usually young and middle aged men 20-40 because they show they look smart and a use of new products. I think Gillette target a B and C class. The male audience lifestyle choices would probably be working and probably would by their cloths from Louis Vuitton, Next, Top men. They most likely to read magazine such as Vogue, Men’s Health and many more. Their     demographics is probably YUPPIE (young urban professional) and the Maslow audience type most likely to be a mainstreamer which is what most people are, they care about their family and security also be a succeeder they seek to be the best like these 3 celerity models that they are the best at their game.
The advert appeals to men because its got celebrities to appeal to the audience. The advertising persuasion technique is testimonial.
They only showed men in this advertising campaign because the product is only aimed at men who reached a certain age to shave. Their body position is really confident and they also look brave because to show this product is for middle aged men. Their facial expression is mysterious, confident and smart. Their jobs/role will probably be a business man, manager and mostly likely to be a banker. I think the model ‘Roger Federer’ looks the most powerful person in the advertising campaign because he pulls an evil face. I don’t think this advert is stereotypical or unconventional because this advert is aimed at men and who only shave.
